First of all, I would like to apologize for the confusion regarding Edmodo and such. I have been out of the country and internet was hit and miss! It was mostly a miss. All PA students are going to follow the same procedure as the DA students. Mr. Moore and myself would like to keep on students on the same page. I am posting the updated plans for all students. Mr. Moore and myself are following the same protocol. Please pass the information along to all of your friends! Thank you!!!
On the first day of school – the very first day where you go to all classes and sign in – you will receive a NEW and FINAL code to join your respective Edmodo quiz groups. Each day of the first week of school, Tuesday through Thursday, you will be assigned to take your quizzes. 5) Each quiz will have a set time limit. That means that once the time is up, the quiz is no longer open. NO EXCEPTIONS.
So, this is the best and most logical solution I can come up with in order to meet the needs of all 200+ of you. This way, if you were out of town, forgot about joining, out of town, forgot about joining, or in a few cases out of the country, do not stress! I hope you all consider this to be a viable solution. Again, I do not like to deviate from previous instructions but in this case I feel I must. If anything it will give those of you who have procrastinated more time to get everything completed, or more time to procrastinate. For those of you who find this solution offensive, please accept my forgiveness. Again, dealing with a large number of you and considering the fact that you all have things going on in your lives this summer, I deem this to be a viable, all-inclusive solution.
To summarize, you will be given an Edmodo code the FIRST day of school when you walk in class. If you will not be there, get it from a friend. Be resourceful! You will have one quiz every day, Tuesday – Thursday (after school) to complete via the Edmodo group you sign up for with the NEW and FINAL code your receive the first day of school. Each quiz will be timed. Your grades will be posted in my grade book by weeks end.
Please make sure to complete your reading BEFORE school begins. We have much to cover this year and will move at a very rapid pace. Honors students, do not forget to read a selection from the list provided. See you soon!! Again, any questions or concerns PLEASE email me! I will be checking email on a daily basis.
Welcome to our class website! The calendar is updated weekly, but if you would like daily updates and would like to see specific assignment requirements for each class, please check out our class Edmodo group! If you are not familiar with Edmodo, it is a great resource for teachers to stay in contact with students. It allows teachers to post assignments and students can receive reminders about assignments! So, come on over and check out our group!
