PSAT-Preliminary Scholastic Achievement Test

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 we will be administering the PSAT to all sophomores free of charge, and to juniors who sign up and pay $16. Listed below are the advantages of taking the PSAT again as a junior, we encourage all juniors to to take advantage of this opportunity.

  • Students receive feedback on their strengths and weaknesses on skills necessary for college study. They can then focus preparation on those areas that could most benefit from additional study or practice.
  • Students see how their performance on an admissions test might compare with that of others applying to college.
  • Juniors are entered into the competition for scholarships from NMSC (grade 11).
  • Helps prepare for the SAT. Students can become familiar with the kinds of questions and the exact directions they will see on the SAT.

Students will receive PSAT results by February, 2012.
